(May 15, 2006) - Winning the Cat's Hill Classic
in Los Gatos, California for the second time in three years, Kodakgallery.com/Sierra
Nevada's Ben Jacques-Maynes easily outsprinted his former Sierra Nevada
teammate Eric Wohlberg (Symmetrics) after the two lapped the field, and
KGSN's Jackson Stewart - the defending Cat's Hill winner - led home the
chase group for third.

It was the second straight win in this famed NorCal
race for the current configuration of the Kodakgallery.com/Sierra Nevada
squad, although Jacques-Maynes' win in 2004 for Sierra Nevada and KGSN Racing
Manager Jonas Carney's 2003 victory figure into the debate of whether the
team's streak now sits at two, three, or even four years.
In any case, it was well-earned win for the team in front of Stewart's and
Jacques-Maynes' home crowd, but not the only time that a Kodakgallery.com/Sierra
Nevada rider stood atop the podium over the weekend.
In Golden, Colorado, Dan Schmatz benefited from a leadout by teammate Jason
Allen to win a bunch sprint at the Wheels of Thunder Classic on Saturday
and - after a 6am flight to Montreal the next morning - Schmatz joined Dominique
Perras and Martin Gilbert at the GP Super C de Brossard and placed third.
For Schmatz, it was a satisfying return to racing after suffering a fractured
clavicle in a run-in with a car during the Ford Tour de Georgia last month.
"I would have been happy just to get back out there and feel good," he said,
"but to win my first race back was even better! Plus, it was my first win
on SRAM so that was a nice bonus."

Racing on his own at Springfield Avenue Classic
and the Bear Mountain Road Race in the New York area, Scott Zwizanski earned
a 4th place finish on Saturday and a 6th place on Sunday, but also found
time to upload photos from the past two months of racing to Kodak Gallery.
Coming up for Kodakgallery.com/Sierra Nevada is another open weekend of
racing, followed by a string of East Coast criteriums leading up to the
Commerce Bank Pennsylvania Triple Crown in early June.
