Sominguez Hills, CA (January 28, 2007) -- The Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team, presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. won on its first day out in 2007 as Cody O'Reilly, led out by new teammate Dominique Rollin, was first across the line at the 4th Annual Ride it Like You Stole It Criterium. The victory holds special meaning to O'Reilly as the race was his first as a professional cyclist.
A strong pace kept the pro field together through much of the 100 kilometers of racing. With seven laps remaining, Team Successful Living moved to the front of the race and drove the pace hard looking to lead out their sprinter. At about the same time, Canadian National Champion, Dominique Rollin asked teammate Cody O'Reilly how he was feeling and instructed O'Reilly to stick to his wheel. Approaching the final turn, Rollin launched a viscious attack that set the pair clear of the field. With 60m remaining to the line, O'Reilly came by Rollin to grab the win. Rollin held on to an impressive 6th place finish.
Team communications director, Rob O'Dea noted, "Cody's performance today is a fitting introduction to the pro field. The team is thrilled with Cody's performance, though not surprised. Cody has an impressive record on the track of knowing how to win. We look forward to many more days like today from Cody during the 2007 season and beyond." With a racing career dating back to his 10th birthday, O'Reilly has won four national junior championship titles on the track.
