Josh Thornton Joins the Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team, presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. from Toyota United where he staged a comeback to elite cycling in 2006 after retiring five years earlier to start a family.
In 1997, Josh earned the National Road Championship title and won the prestigious Tour D'Abitibi in Quebec, Canada. A talented technical rider, Josh also captured the National Junior Cyclocross bronze. As a U.S. Espoir National Team Member, Josh finished an impressive 22nd in Belgium's famous Liege-Bastogne-Liege race.
Time away from racing made Josh realize and appreciate how much cycling means to him. To ensure he capitalizes on his potential, Josh is extremely diciplined in his training and off-season preparation.
Josh lives in San Antonio, Florida with his wife Lisa and son Jacob - a youngster who is already showing an interest in following in his father's footsteps.
