Formerly the team captain of the Fiordifrutta Elite Cycling Team, 26 year old Dan Timmerman will make his pro debut racing for the Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team, presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

First racing mountain bikes in 1993 at age 13, Dan has met success in many cycling disciplines. After winning several New York State Amateur mountain bike titles and dabbling in downhill racing, Dan decided to take some time off the bike to pursue his other hobbies. During his racing hiatus, Dan toured the country on his bike, honed his bike polo skills furthered his education.

In 2004, Dan returned to competitive cycling and quickly rose through the ranks before being signed by Fiordifrutta, the nation's preeminent amateur team, in 2005. Since, Dan has been ranked the nation's top amateur.

Away from racing, Dan is an advocate of bicycle commuting and works to educate people on the importance of being a responsible steward of their planet.
