Headlining the Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team, presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Ryan Trebon will look to extend the dominance he showed in 2006 racing to National Championships in mountain biking and cyclocross.
In terms of break-out years, one would have to look far and wide to surpass Ryan Trebon's 2006. On a hot summer day in Sonoma, California, Ryan Trebon rode away from the pro men's XC field and soloed to his first national championship title...and that was just his warm up for the cross season.
Winning four of six series races, Trebon easily won the 2006 Crank Brothers U.S. Gran Prix of Cyclocross. To stamp his ownership on the season, Trebon avenged a 2nd place 2005 finish at the National Championship race in Rhode Island with a convincing win.
When not competing in select road racing events with the Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team, Ryan will continue to represent Kona-Les Gets as a factory rider for mountain bike racing and cyclocross.
Describing the differences between his racing on the mountain bike and the road in a recent VeloNews article, Ryan said, "In mountain biking, you can only go as hard as you can. In road, you have to go as hard as everyone else to keep up." Having demonstrated what he can do on the bike when he puts his mind to it, only time will tell who's trying to keep up with who.
