2007 NEWS
Walterboro, SC (May 2, 2007) On a hot, humid evening in the deep south, Canadian National Champion, Dominique Rollin notched another win for the Kodak Gallery Pro Cycling Team, presented by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. Teammate Josh Thornton crossed the line third. The results moved Thornton into first and Rollin into second in the eight race, USA Crits Southeast Championship Series. From the beginning of the race, the field strung out single file from a pace driven relentlessly by the allure of primes on every single lap. With five laps remaining on the 2km course, the Kodak Gallery team moved to the front of the field. Despite battling back and forth for position with the Rock & Republic team, Kodak Gallery was able to protect fast-man Rollin until the final stretch where he opened the throttle and surged across the line first. Propelled by his amazing consistency in reaching the podium in three of the series four races, Josh Thornton moved to the top of the series overall competition. With two wins, Rollin moved into a close second. Rollin and Thornton were supported in their winning performance by teammates Jesse Anthony (recent stage winner at Tour of Virginia), Cody O’Reilly and Jamiel Danesh. The team will compete in one race each day across the Southeastern U.S. as the eight race series draws to a close on Sunday in Decatur, Alabama.
